THE GREAT POTTERY THROW DOWN’S

KEITH BRYMER JONES BRINGS ‘LIFE, CLAY & EVERYTHING’ TO AUSTRALIA IN APRIL 2026.

Renowned British designer, bestselling author, and beloved judge on Foxtel’s The Great Pottery Throw Down, Keith Brymer Jones will bring his live show to Australia for the first time in April 2026. Join Keith as he brings his sold-out UK Life, Clay & Everything tour to Melbourne and Sydney, sharing stories from both in front of and behind the potter’s wheel in a unique live experience.

Tuesday 7 April 2026              Melbourne      Recital Centre
Wednesday 8 April 2026        Sydney            City Recital Hall

Tickets on sale from 2:00pm local time, Thursday 26February via fane.com.au

Keith will be joined on stage by his partner, actor Marj Hogarth, in an honest and entertaining in‑conversation format. Together they’ll unpack Keith’s remarkable journey — from designing ceramic ranges for top retailers to long days at his favourite pottery wheel in his Whitstable (Kent) studio. Expect tributes to the people and happy accidents that shaped his career: the art teacher who sparked his passion, the nearly‑famous punk band he fronted in the ’80s, and the unexpected path that led him to become a TV favourite.

The night also includes a rare on‑stage pottery demonstration, as Keith takes audiences through the joy of form, technique, and the pure escapism he finds at the wheel. He’ll reveal how he became a judge on The Great Pottery Throw Down and share why clay remains his medium of choice.

A celebrated potter and designer, Keith discovered ceramics at age 11 when he made his first clay owl. Leaving behind a brief music career, he trained as an apprentice at Harefield Pottery before crafting unique handmade pieces for Habitat, Laura Ashley, Barneys New York and more. His iconic Word Range — inspired partly by his experiences with dyslexia — has since become a globally loved collection known for its clean style, vintage nods, and wry humour.

Now Head of Design at MAKE International and author of the bestselling memoir Boy in a China Shop, Keith continues to champion creativity with warmth, authenticity and a heartfelt connection to clay.

“I’ve always believed clay has an extraordinary way of connecting people — it certainly changed my life. I can’t wait to come to Australia, share some stories, have a few laughs, and hopefully inspire others to get their hands dirty too.” – Keith Brymer Jones

Hilarious, heartwarming, and thoroughly entertaining, this is a one‑off chance to experience Keith Brymer Jones live — with more life, more clay, and, of course… more everything.

“During downtime on Pottery Throwdown Keith made my hair curl with some of his tales — he’s a great raconteur and recounts his story […] with joy, charm & mischief.”
